Restricted Key Systems

What is a restricted key system?

Restricted keys are a highly secure form of ensuring key control where only the signatory can have keys cut.  A restricted key can only be cut by the originating locksmith and keys can only be ordered by an authorised signatory on record; giving you complete control over who has keys. This means that you can give keys to employees or contractors knowing that they cannot make duplicates behind your back.

How do I get extra keys made?

To make duplicates, the authorised signatory can order additional keys to either collect themselves, nominate a particular person so collect or have them couriered to you.

Important Rules

  1. Keys ordered without a valid system number cannot be processed
  2. The person placing the order MUST be an authorised signatory to the system (typically the building manager or Strata Manager)
  3. Photo identification and signature is required at pickup (or at time of delivery)
  4. We cannot deliver restricted keys to PO Boxes

How do I place a key order?

Simply visit www.tlslocks.com.au  and Select option 5 to order restricted keys. Fill out the form; you will need to know your system number & the type of key you wish to order. This can all be found engraved on the key.

What is a signatory?

A signatory is the registered person who can order keys within a specified key system. Each system Requires at least one however we recommend two in case that person is away or not contactable.

Changing or adding registered signatories

Simply send an email to rk@terrys.team with your details & system number and request a signatory update form. Please note that a signature from the current signatory will be required to make any changes.
