Terry’s Locksmiths is an agent for Assa Abloy who make whitco security screen door lock and have been fitting these lock since they came out. There have been significant improvement made to the locking system over time but the still rely heavily on correct use and installation.
The two most common security door lock repair we find on the Gold Coast is the sliding screen lock, called a whitco blacksland and the hinged security screen lock called a whitco tasman MK2. Although these are the most popular brands there are some other brands available. The whitco locks can also have a triple lock function, whereby there is an additional lock at the top of the door and down the bottom.
This triple lock function is a popular security door lock repair for us as they tend to have alignment issues are some time. A simple service and realignment will insure the lock stays in working order and doesn’t put pressure on the middle section of the lock.
