These tools enable us to program keys, decode locks, and integrate new components without needing EEPROM programming, allowing for a streamlined service.

A distinctive aspect of the LDV D90 is its front cup holder location for key programming. During the process, the key is placed in the cup holder, where the vehicle’s transponder signal is detected and the programming sequence is carried out. This unique design simplifies the key registration process, making it quicker and more convenient.

Case Study: LDV D90 Spare Key Programming

Job 115373: 2022 LDV D90 – Spare Key Setup

• A customer with a 2022 LDV D90 required a spare key. We used a combination of the Autel and VVDI Key Tool Max to program a new aftermarket XHorse 3 Button PROX Key, styled after BMW keys (XSKF01EN BBP). The key operates at ID47 433MHz and is compatible with the D90’s keyless entry system.

• To complete the programming, a PIN code was needed, which we obtained online in approximately 20 minutes. Once the PIN was available, the key was placed in the front cup holder, where it was detected and successfully programmed to work with the vehicle’s keyless entry and ignition systems.
